Gratitude and Self-Care
Ok - time to be honest again. I am really, really, REALLY bad at sticking with challenges. I’ve wanted to get into the habit of taking a pause and being intentional with tracking my daily gratitudes for a long time now. But I’ve NEVER been successful in creating a habit. 🤦♀️
This inability to stick with it through the chaos of everyday life is what lead me to starting this gratitude challenge with you! And as I am doing research to provide you guys with inspiration and motivation - I am learning a ton of great new things!

Like the link between gratitude and self-care. Taking that pause and recognizing the little things that bring you joy throughout the day feels good. But did you know that it can also improve your psychological health? Gratitude reduces a multitude of toxic emotions - from envy and frustration to resentment and regret.
When I am at my most stressed and anxious I am a jumbled mess of toxic emotions and no matter how hard I try, I cannot get out of that headspace - just ask my husband - he will verify this! Since being more mindful about what I am grateful for and taking the pause to write it down or share it with you, I have noticed that I have been able to keep more of the toxic emotions at bay. I wake up in a better mood and look forward to discovering the gratitude gems of the day.
